The
Garret Heights community welcomes and allows its residents to own
indoor pets. Within our governing documents you will find a detailed pet
resolution specifically addressing minding and caring for your pet when
you take it onto the common areas. In summary, the following are some
main points concerning pet ownership:
DO:
- Make sure that you provide management with your Pet Declaration and Registration Form even if you do not own any pets.
- Keep your animal on a short leash for its safety and protection.
- Keep your owners file up-to-date with any changes in your pet ownership.
- Always clean up after your pet and dispose of all waste properly within a dumpster.
- Take responsibility to control your dog from excessive barking.
- Report a pet violation to Linda Kadel should you see it occur.
- Keep pets off lawn areas that have been clearly marked with chemical flags indicating lawn fertilization or vermin treatments.
DO NOT:
- Ever leave your pet unattended on your deck or within a common stairwell.
- Permit your pets to roam in any common area without a leash.
- Let your animal approach a person or pet without the residents consent.
- Allow your pet to walk in flower-beds or on newly reseeded lawn areas.
- Permit your pet to go behind or under the dumpsters where rodenticide may have been placed.
